Marshall Browning Hospital Welcomes Heather Rice, PA-C

Du Quoin, Illinois - February 4, 2016 - Marshall Browning Hospital is pleased to welcome Heather Rice, to its Medical Clinic, located across from the hospital at 900 North Washington Street, Du Quoin. Rice will join the practices of Dr. Gladstone Tucker, Internal Medicine/Geriatrics; Danielle Klump, Family Nurse Practitioner; and Richard Parks, M.D., Psychiatry. She will also work as part of the new hospitalist team provided through Morthland College Health Services (MCHS).

As a Physician Assistant, Rice is trained in the diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of routine to acute illnesses. While addressing general and specific health concerns, she will also administer wellness checkups, school and work physicals. Rice will treat both children and adults.

Heather and her husband, Ben, reside in Benton with their two children. Rice commented, "I am so excited to be providing medical care in Du Quoin again."

Rice is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale where she earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Physician Assistant studies and offers a wealth of experience including over ten years of family practice formerly in Du Quoin.

"We are pleased to have Heather join our medical practice as well as having her available as part of our hospitalist team. It's important for patients to have a primary care provider and Heather will be available to meet that need. We want this community to understand that they can receive quality treatment at our clinic without having to travel out of town," said Dan Eaves, CEO.
