The ultrasound takes only 10 minutes and is noninvasive and completely painless. Are you a candidate for this test? You could be if you have diabetes, hepatitis, high cholesterol/LDL, fatty liver, obesity or alcoholism. For more information, call the Imaging Department at 542-1073.Bone Density Screening
Bone Density Screening is a simple and painless procedure that measures the thickness or density of your bones. If you are at risk for osteoporosis, please talk with your doctor about any risk factors or symptoms you may have. He or she may order a bone density test for you.Low Dose Lung Screening
The only recommended screening test for lung cancer is low-dose computed tomography (also called a low-dose CT scan). Screening is recommended only for adults who have no symptoms but are at high risk. The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommends yearly lung cancer screening with LDCT for people who 1) have a 20 pack-year or more smoking history, and 2) Smoke now or have quit within the past 15 years, and 3) Are between 50 and 80 years old. A pack-year is smoking an average of one pack of cigarettes per day for one year. Please feel free to call and inquire about the testing services we provide at 618-542-1073.
