Registered Nurse for ED
We have full-time RN positions open in our Emergency Department.
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department (ED) provides quality professional nursing care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric medical, trauma, and obstetrical patients through assessing physical and psychosocial problems; prioritizing care; determining standards of care and/or protocols applicable to the patient’s conditions in collaboration with the patient, family, and other members of the healthcare team; implements appropriate interventions; and modifies care based on observable responses.

QUALIFICATIONS

a. Education: graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Current registration with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.
b. Training and Experience: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or equivalent within six months of hire.
c. Job Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice, including those disciplines related to nursing, such as biology, anatomy and physiology, psychology, sociology, basic pharmacology, and pathophysiology and their applications. Must have the knowledge to assess and care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Familiarity with the organization policies of all departments; familiarity with the Nursing Department's standards, policies, and procedures, including the ability to access and follow the policies and procedures. Knowledge of literature and new developments in the nursing field.
