Floor Care Technician
The floor care technician’s job role is to maintain and improve the cleanliness and appearance of floors in the hospital, clinics, rehab building including the pool area, administrative offices and other public spaces. Their duties include sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping and waxing floors, as well as removing stains. This will involve operating specialized equipment, such as floor scrubbers and buffers. Strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and knowledge of various cleaning products and techniques are essential for this role. They will also be responsible for operating and maintaining floor cleaning equipment and ensuring that they are ready for use. Floor technicians must also be knowledgeable about different types of flooring materials and how to properly care for them to ensure safety and longevity. The goal of a floor technician is to create a safe, clean, and visually appealing environment for patients, visitors and employees.

Floor Technician Requirements
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• The ability to work independently
• The ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Good communication skills
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
